ARTEFACT
Editorial Design · Typography · Cultural Storytelling
Project Brief
ARTEFACT is a conceptual editorial sculpture magazine focused on global sculpture and cultural symbolism. The project explores how sculptural forms across different civilizations communicate identity, belief systems, and collective memory.
The goal was to design a publication that feels archival, refined, and museum-like, allowing art and typography to coexist without competing for attention.
Concept & Editorial Direction
The magazine is rooted in the idea that sculpture is one of humanity’s oldest visual languages. Each spread treats sculptures not as decorative objects, but as storytellers, carriers of cultural meaning, spirituality, and history.
The editorial direction balances restraint and intensity: bold cover treatments paired with quiet, text-driven interior spreads that invite slow reading and reflection.
